JEREMY KING PROPRIETOR BASSLINE ENTERTAINMENTS

Age: 30
Born: Colchester Essex, UK

Jeremy a.k.a DJ Jezza, The Jezza & just plain Jezza!

"One of the most multi tasking multi talented professionals on the scene"

"This job is all about dedication, hard work taking the advice given to you, networking, earning respect, never buring your bridges and keeping a head of the game"

At the tender age of 9 years whilst visiting the club house of the Highfiled Holiday Park in Clacton, where the gymnastics club that his parents helped to run just happened to be based. Jezza met resident DJ and street dancer Brian Abbott whom in exchange for being taught how to Somersault and back flip in the gymnastic club agreed to teach Jezza to dance and DJ, a friendship that grew and grew and still exists today.

A few years later visitors to the holiday park were wowed by the highly skilled and acrobatic dance routines performed by the pair. Jezza went on to Blue Coat and DJ for the park along side Brian.

After finishing college Jezza went on through a friend to meet Toby Middleton a former DJ of the year and and more recenlty UK Manager of the year who took Jezza under his wing and provided him with years of advice, experience and the opportunity to perfect his skills including his first nightclub gig at the Hippodrome in Colchester. "I owe most of my career and success to the direction and support from I have received from Toby" they still work together on many ventures today!

As the years passed Jezza went from one nightclub residency to another and established an excellent reputation within the industry and earning the respect of his peers.

"I spent eight years working full time trying to fit in gigs whilst establishing my DJing career, during this time I established Bassline Entertainments initially supplying mobile & discos karaoke's and moving on to bigger and better things every year."

"All of the services supplied by Bassline are a direct result of the people I've met working all over the world" and learning as much from them as I can improve my own skills and developing new ones and the being to share the benefit of that knowledge.

There isn't a lot this guy doesn't do- He DJ's, Sings, Dances, Fire Breaths, Stilt walks, Angle grinds, Hosts & compares events, Promotes nightclubs and his own events, A former life guard and advanced first aider, A former National level 1 Trampolinist, worked show bars, and anything else to get a laugh or cheer. He's even stripped with a full male review show! And went all the way!

In 2004 Jezza had an opportunity to work abroad; something he'd wanted to do for years and jumped at the chance and in May 2004 and headed for the sunny isle of Zakynthos (Zante) Greece to be the resident DJ for the Word famous Cherrybay Beach Club in the Laganas resort on the island...

What a summer it turned out to be !!

"Hardcore partying of 5 months non-stop 8 hour sets every Friday and Saturday nights I was knackered!!! It is possibly the hardest and most enjoyable learning experience of my life" Earning the respect of the entire island and the workers alike he even made the local Greek news papers! (Although it wasn't for the quality of his Djing but for the club having too much naughty fun.)  Widely recognised as Zante's no.1 DJ in 2004 Jezza returned to the UK in that October and a month later with the Help of Timothy Bryant and his team at Hollywood Night club Romford where Jezza was a former resident put on a Zante reunion night 800 punters and 200 workers from Zante turned up for one of the messiest nights ever! See the events page for the proof!

Since 2004

Jezza has moved onwads and upwards

Leading him to perform on the BBC Radio 1 Six weeks of summer tour in 2007 and working alongside the likes of Big Brothers, N Dubz, Fran Cosgrove, Calum Best, Danny Dyer, Timmy Malett, DJ, Luck & Mc Neat, DJ Ez, H20, Tinchy Strider, Ne-yo, The View, Jason Donovan, Booty Luv, Dave Pearce, Lucy Pinder and Michelle Marsh, Kyla, Mc Versatile, Kelly Lorrenna, JLS, Mz Bratt, Fr3e, Meleka, Jaimeson, Robbie Craig, Jade Goddy, Jordan, Dean Gafney, Abbie Timus Dermot O'leary, Edith Bowmen and many more...

After being asked to return to Zante for another season in 2008 Jezza returned to the UK bringing with him a wealth of performance and entertainment knowledge. ready to strive on to the next challenge.

Most DJ's these days are only into one style of music and are passionate about it and I admire their commitment. My passion however is for the entertainment its self I get my buzz from the atmosphere in the venue I may never be a famous star but I will always have work and being able to change my style or what I play keeps me up to date with the trends in the market and I will never have to break my musical Morales, I'm a musical slut so to speak!"
